Scientific reports are providing consistent warnings regarding the extent to which climate change and environmental degradation are impacting our planet. The time to act is now! We must amplify efforts to combat climate change and guarantee a sustainable future.
As graduates, we have the means to achieve meaningful change in our organisations and in our communities.
At Alumni for the Planet, our goal is to give you the concrete support you need to take action.
We are all aware of how effective networks can be in changing attitudes and practices, especially within the workplace.
Together we can build a network to protect the climate and the environment in our organisations and communities.
Climate change and its environmental consequences are complex and systemic phenomena. In order to combat them, it is important to understand them - their causes, their evolution, as well as possible solutions. Doing so will enable every one of us to target our actions and spread the word more effectively, which will in turn help get as many people involved as possible.
Alumni for the Planet facilitates your access to reliable and objective information.
Businesses and organisations have an essential role to play in responding to the challenges posed by climate change. As a graduate, you may (now or in the future) be in a position to ensure that your company better embraces that role.
In order to combat climate change, a great many solutions will need to be implemented at a local level in urban, semiurban and rural areas. As a resident and citizen, you can take action to promote a faster, smoother energy transition and make your community greener.
Calculating our carbon footprint and working to progressively reduce it is a step we can all take. Limiting energy use, reducing food waste, rethinking your purchases, your diet, your commute: discover effective ways to implement these changes in your daily life and spread the word.
